Mr. Golam Kabir is a dual citizen of Bangladesh and Japan. He is the President of Kabir Auto Export Co. Ltd. He is one of the most successful exporters of cars from Japan around the world. He is expanding his investments in automobile sector in Bangladesh. He has the potentials to build relationship between Japan and Bangladesh. He is the Chairman of KM Global Limited, Soft Bangla Limited and International Institute for Asian Peace. He is also proprietor of Ocean Auto located in Bangladesh.
Mr. Golam Kabir is member of different social and cultural organizations including Dhaka Club, All Community Club and the Elite Lion’s Club, Owners Association, Youth Club in Japan etc. He is equally active in many community development and social services programmes.
He has remained an honourable patron to a good number of educational institutions contributing significantly to the advancement of country’s education.
He has completed his Masters in Japanese language from University of Toyama, Japan. He is married to Mrs. Hasina Akther and is blessed with two daughters and one son.
Mr. Iqbal is the founder and Chairman of Jamil Iqbal Limited, One of the largest construction company in Bangladesh. His entrepreneurial spirit and vision have also led him to establish and lead Iqbal Construction Enterprise Ltd. and Brighton & Hove Limited as Chairman and Managing Director. He owns and operates several other successful ventures, including M/S. Md. Jamil Iqbal, J.I. Stone Supplier, and multiple crushing plants. His business portfolio extends internationally as a partner in Al Anood Perfumes Co. (LLC) in Deira, Dubai, UAE.
Mr. Iqbal possesses an International Master of Business Administration degree from Buckinghamshire New University.
Mr. Iqbal is acclaimed for his significant contributions to the business community and his socioeconomic impact. As the highest taxpayer in Sylhet, he has been honored with national awards by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for seven consecutive years, spanning from the assessment year 2007-08 to 2013-14. Additionally, he achieved the second-highest taxpayer position in 2020-2021 and 2022-2023, and the third place in 2021-2022 in Whole of Bangladesh. Notably, he is the only Golden Tax Card Holder in the Sylhet Division, underscoring his commitment to fiscal responsibility.
Mr. Iqbal hails from a noble Muslim family of Akakhajana (Borobari), Beanibazar, Sylhet. He is in business as a successor embarked on a successful career in business, quickly establishing himself as a prominent entrepreneur and investor. As a British citizen, he has balanced his commitments in Bangladesh and abroad, bringing a global perspective to his endeavors.
Mr. Kazi Towhidul Alam, a postgraduate in Accounting from Chittagong University, began his banking career in 1986 with Bank of Credit & Commerce International (Overseas) Limited in Chattogram. He retired in 2020 as Additional Managing Director of Social Islami Bank Limited.
He has attended various trainings/seminars in USA, UK, Netherlands, UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, China and India in different important fields of banking.
Over his 35-year career, Mr. Alam held various positions at several prestigious banks, both in Bangladesh and internationally. His experience includes roles at Bank of Credit & Commerce International (Overseas) Limited, Banque Indosuez in Chattogram, Credit Africa Bank Limited in Zambia, Eastern Bank Limited, Dutch Bangla Bank Limited, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited, and Social Islami Bank Limited.
