NRB Bank PLC Recognizes Employee Integrity with Inaugural “Integrity Award” Ceremony

NRB Bank PLC proudly presented its first-ever “Integrity Award” to deserving employees for the fiscal year 2023-2024. This prestigious award acknowledges individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to upholding the principles of the National Integrity Strategy (NIS) set forth by the government of Bangladesh.

The ceremony, held at the bank’s head office on January 29, 2025, was graced by Mr. Tarek Reaz Khan, Managing Director of the Bank, who served as the chief guest. During the event, Mr. Khan distributed awards and certificates to the deserving recipients in a simple yet meaningful ceremony. The presence of Mr. Md. Shaheen Howlader, Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Md. Ali Akbar Faraji, Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Anwar Uddin, Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Oli Ahad Chowdhury, Head of Human Resources Division, and other esteemed members of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and Extended Senior Management Team (ESMT) added to the significance of the occasion.

The awards were presented across four distinct categories, with recipients including Mr. Oli Ahad Chowdhury, SEVP, Head of Retail Banking, Branch Banking & Human Resources Division; Mr. Mohammad Khurshed Alam Patowary, Vice President, Operations Division; Mr. Md. Ershad Sadique, FAVP & Branch Operations Manager, Sylhet Main Branch; and Mr. Md. Ferdous Karim Talukdar, AVP & Head of Branch, Jaflong Branch.

In alignment with the National Integrity Strategy (NIS) mandated by the Government, Bangladesh Bank issued comprehensive guidelines to all Commercial Banks and Financial institutions, emphasizing the importance of implementing integrity measures to enhance corporate governance and transparency. To incentivize adherence to these guidelines, a reward policy was recommended by Bangladesh Bank, leading to the establishment of the Integrity Award by NRB Bank PLC.

This initiative not only recognizes and celebrates integrity within the organization but also serves as a testament to NRB Bank PLC’s commitment to fostering a culture of honesty and ethical conduct among its employees, ultimately enhancing service quality and customer satisfaction.
