Bangladesh has enacted Money Laundering Prevention Act (MLPA) in 2002 and Anti Terrorist Act in 2009. To address the deficiencies identified in the Mutual Evaluation Report (MER), Bangladesh has again enacted Money Laundering Prevention Act in February, 2012 (Amendment 2015) and Anti Terrorist Act 2009 have been amended in 2012 & 2013.
