NRB Bank Corporate Identity formally unveiled by Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Honorable Member of Parliament and Minister of Finance of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh as the Chief Guest. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, while Chairman of the Bank, Iqbal Ahmed OBE and MD & CEO Muklesur Rahman were also present.
Bringing together a passionate and entrepreneurial group of NRB investors from all over the world, NRB Bank Limited aims to be the leading dedicated financial institution for NRBs to invest in Bangladesh and for Bangladeshi individuals and corporate to access international markets. The Bank has been inaugurated on 28th May 2013, Tuesday, at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel Grand Ballroom, aims to be the preferred provider of targeted financial services as a conduit for investment to and from Bangladesh for our Bangladeshi communities both domestically and internationally. In addition to strengthen these relationships by providing the right solutions that combine professionalism, expertise and financial strength. The goal is to create customer loyalty, shareholder value and employee satisfaction.
The launching ceremony was graced by Mr. AbulMaal Abdul Muhith, Honorable Member of Parliament and Minister of Finance of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh as the Chief Guest. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, presided the event as the Special Guest. H.E. Mr. Nicholas Low, Acting British High Commissioner to Bangladesh also graced the event as the Guest of Honour.
The Chairman of the Bank, Mr. Iqbal Ahmed OBE is a celebrated business personality of Bangladeshi origin in the UK. He received his highest and most prestigious recognition to date when he was awarded an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 2001 for his services to international trade from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. In his message he said, “I dream of unlocking a new horizon to the Bangladesh economy by facilitating NRB inward investment to Bangladesh and assisting Bangladeshi enterprises to access international markets”.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were President of the Bangladesh Association of Banks Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam Mazumder and President of FBCCI, Mr. Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed. The event was also attended by other Ministers, MP’s, Excellencies, eminent business leader, sponsor shareholders, Directors, along with the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank.
